They can sit anonymously behind the keyboards and control and manipulate the lives of their victims without their knowledge. Careers are ruined, families torn apart, and financial ruin are only a matter of a few keystrokes away for an abuser. This is all done without any consequence from the abuser and leaves the victims with a wasteland of their lives as they once knew it.
