This means that there are side affects and hurdles for victims to contend with on a daily basis.
Some days may be good and some days may feel hopeless. It is sadly a part of recovering. It is hard for all victims to believe that this person that they promised to love and cherish would actually go out of their way to cause you harm and pain. There are tools every survivor uses to get through the days when it all
feels like more than you cn bare.
I had days that would seem so bleak sometimes and I wasn't sure how to get through from one minute to the next, and then I would find enough hope that maybe tomorrow wouldn't hurt so much. To read my horoscope and have it tell me that something good was going to happen in my near furture could be the thing that gave me enough energy to endure another day. When I would have strange things happen with animals around me I could look up what the meaning of them showing up in my life at that moment and i would get a sense of calm.
My medicine bag was an ecclectic mix of prayer, metaphysical, and spiritual means to harness hope for tomorrow. Music played a big role for me during those times as well, and would take the hurt away for moments at a time. A one minute break from fear, panic and despair is a miracle.
We all have ways to cope and endure our trials in life, but when the unexpected occurs sometimes our ways of coping no longer are effective. That is when you need to expand your medicine bag.
